The blocker

It was never about the agent's
coding style.

In a MISRA codebase the standard is not a preference. It is written into the contract, checked by the toolchain, and defended in front of an assessor. That changes what a non-deterministic code generator costs you.

A generated violation is not a style nit.

An agent that writes dynamic allocation into a Required-guideline codebase creates rework, a finding in the analyzer report, and a conversation you have to have later. Multiply that by every developer running an agent.

An undocumented deviation is worse.

Deviations are part of normal engineering. Deviations nobody wrote down are not. When the guideline compliance summary is assembled, an unexplained deviation has no author, no rationale, and no approver.

So the agents get parked.

They write tests, scripts and build tooling. They stay out of the production C, which is exactly where the effort is. The tool is adopted everywhere except the place it would pay for itself.

Standards-aware before the first line

Straion selects the rules that apply to the task at hand and puts them in the agent's context before it plans. Dynamic allocation, recursion, pointer conversions, essential types: the agent writes to the standard instead of you catching it afterwards.

Mandatory guidelines are never offered as deviable. The agent fixes the code or it stops.

When a deviation is genuinely needed, Straion captures the rule, the justification, the file, the approver and the date as a structured decision. Not a comment in the source. Not a message in a chat log nobody kept.

Asked by the person who has to sign off. Answered without the marketing.

"We already run Axivion, Polyspace or LDRA."

Keep them. They are your gate and Straion is not trying to be one. Static analysis reports violations after the agent has written them, which means a person still has to go back and rework the code. Straion runs earlier, so most of those violations never get written, and the deviations that remain carry a documented rationale your analyzer has no way to capture.

"We cannot let an AI agent near safety-critical code."

That is the reason Straion exists. Today the agent works from whatever context it happens to have and nobody can reconstruct why it made a call. With Straion the applicable rules are in front of it before it plans, it cannot silently deviate, and every exception has a named approver and a timestamp. That is what makes agent-written code reviewable and defensible.

"Is Straion certified or qualified?"

No, and we will not imply otherwise. Straion is a guardrail and a record, not a verification tool, and it carries no tool qualification. It helps your developers and their agents write to the standard and it documents the decisions behind deviations. Confirming conformance stays with your qualified toolchain and your process.

"Do you ship the MISRA guidelines themselves?"

No. The guidelines are published and licensed by MISRA and the documents stay the authority. Straion ships a rule pack written in our own words, structured so an agent can act on it, and mapped to the guidelines you work to. You can edit every statement, and you can add your own standard beside it.
