Senior Backend/Fullstack Engineer

About the Role

Join our founding team as a Backend/Fullstack Engineer building scalable enterprise developer intelligence platforms. You'll architect distributed systems that power our AI-driven recommendation engines and NLP services, working directly with founders to establish the technical foundation for rapid growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement distributed microservices architecture
  • Build robust data pipelines using Kafka
  • Architect PostgreSQL database schemas optimized for enterprise scale
  • Develop scalable backend APIs that integrate AI/ML services with enterprise development tools and workflows
  • Establish product development processes and engineering practices for rapid iteration and deployment
  • Drive solution-oriented approaches to complex technical challenges in enterprise software integration
  • Shipping product features to customers and owning their end-to-end delivery
  • Active participation in building a positive, inclusive, and learning-driven team environment.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality, performance, and reliability standards

Requirements

  • 3+ years building production distributed systems and microservices architectures
  • Real world experience using Kafka and protocol buffers for service to service communication
  • Advanced PostgreSQL skills including performance optimization, indexing strategies, and complex queries
  • Motivation to work in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid development cycles
  • DevOps experience including CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud deployment
  • Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for scalable infrastructure
  • TypeScript expertise for full-stack development and modern frontend frameworks (desirable)
  • Event-driven architecture patterns and streaming data processing at scale (desirable)
  • Enterprise B2B technical integration and customer-facing API design (desirable)
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly in written and verbal form

Compensation

Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is €53 802 gross per year based on full-time employment . We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
